Question about villagers moving!

So, something a tad strange happened today in my town of Jabba.
I went around talking to all my villagers as I normally do and when I got to Tabby (she did NOT ding), she mentioned how she met someone from another town. I think she said Lynn, but I dont remember the town name. Then she mentioned how she and Lynn are going to be best friends. I find this so strange because I have not had anyone in my town recently. I did access street pass for a little bit, which I've never done before.
I guess my questions is..first, who is this other person and how did Tabby meet her?
Also, does this mean she's moving?? She didn't say anything about moving, but since she said she was going to be best friends with this other person, I'm just a little confused.
Also, IF this does mean she is planning on moving, is there any chance I can stop her? Like I already mentioned, she did not say anything about moving or ask if she should stay, so I'm not sure what to think.

I love my Tabby and I never want her to move. Have any of you experienced something like this before? I just find it so strange!

She's not planning to move so you don't have to worry about that.

Did you adopt her from another town? Or from someone's void? Streetpass void? Well, if she wasn't from the campsite, she must have had previous towns where she lived before, and probbly met that person way back then.

From time to time villagers will mention other players from other towns that they had conversation with, and also mention players who talked to your villagers via Dream Suite. (They'll say something like, "I had this strange dream last night and met so and so from this town. She/he seemed like a stump maker/or etc"). That's why some cyclers or some players will ask you NOT to talk to any of the villagers in their town. Because even after they move out, they might mention some other players' name and they don't like that much.. Personally I don't really mind, but yeah =P.

Also, when a villager is actually planning to move, they will normally be outside and will ping you when they see you and tell you that they'll be moving on ____ date. Sometimes they won't be outside and other villagers will tell you that so-and-so is thinking about moving. So talk to every villager at least 3-5 times daily to find out if anyone's planning to move. You can stop them from moving by telling them to stay when they ping you.

If you picked her up from a town recently, or any time tbh, they will sometimes mention the other people they visited there. Don't worry about her moving. Unless they say they are actually moving or you hear a rumor from someone else, they will not move.

Thanks so much for the feedback guys! Now I don't have to worry that she's going to leave me. She's been in my town forever, so I'm wondering if it may have been someone from streetpass or the dream suite.
