Question about villager house placements

Is it true they will no longer plot their house on designs? I'd really like to know before i path my entire town

Yes it is true, I have plotted 3 villagers since the update and none have plotted on a design.

As far as I've read and seen for myself, they don't plot over designs! Its super long, but you can place patterns in specific places and cover up all free space to make sure that they only plot in areas you want them to! It's such an amazing new feature for those of us who put so much effort into our town layouts ;;o;;

I can confirm. I placed patterns all over my town except this exact spot and they plotted there.

They still plot on flowers and trees.

Maybe it'll be a good time to sneak some decorative tiles here and there to save some of those precious hybrids.
