Question about two ACNH islands

So I know one switch console only lets you have one island, but the problem is me and my sibling have one switch between us and neither of us want to share one island
so my questions are
1. Can you get a different island if you have a separate ACNH copy? what about having both digital and physical?
2. Can one game give you a different island if it's on another console? Even though it has the same nintendo account?

I might end up getting a switch lite and another game for them depending on the answers :/

1. No, all save data is on the switch, regardless of physical, digital
2. Yes as there is no save data on the console, I don’t know what you mean with the Nintendo account?
