Is your game set in this month currently?
It's probably going to count as 1 day if you time travel back in months/years, but I don't remember since I haven't time traveled that far back in a while.

I've time traveled back a few years in my old game. It still acted as one day, but then again I reset afterwards because I got bored.
It counts as one day forward as usual. I've time travelled back by months and nothing changed. It's only when you're going forward that it still counts as months. When you return to the present, you'll have to do it day by day, or deny a villager's request to move and skip directly to the current date (though you get weeds and bed hair that way).
Not sure I fully understand the question, though, if you time travel backwards, I know that villagers will not move out.
