Hey all, new member here! I have some TT questions and I've been seeing a lot of conflicting info, so I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me out.

Basically, I'm considering time traveling for the first time, and I'm worried about the repercussions....Particularly because I'm looking at jumping forward multiple months.

I'm *obsessed* with the mushroom furniture, so my plan is to TT forward to fall, play long enough to acquire all the mushie stuff I want, and then ideally TT back to real time.

I normally would just be patient, but I'm actually borrowing a family member's switch, and I'm sure they'll want it back before fall 😅 So I'm kinda despy for the shrooms haha.

BUT I'm worried about what will happen to my island if I change the date too drastically! I'm mainly concerned about villagers moving away and flowers dying, since those are the more permanent TT penalties I've heard about.

TLDR, how screwed is my island if I TT months into the future, stick around there for a while, and then TT back to real time?

Villagers no longer move without permission in New Horizons. Same with flowers, they don't die. The only repercussion I believe is just weeds popping up everywhere (even that's not much of a problem if you like the weeds) and turnips spoiling if you have any. It will also mess up the dates on your Nook Miles stamps I think, if that bothers you any. TT-ing back to real time will count as one day no matter how many days you jumped.

villagers no longer move away without talking to you first and flowers no longer wilt. however, i time travelled to summer a few weeks back and here’s the only ‘repercussions’ that i experienced:

- lots of weeds (you will likely have more than i did if you’re jumping from spring to fall)
- bedhead hair (only for like,, 2 secs)
- c o c kroaches in your house (i’m tired of y’all censoring this, it’s a BUG)
- your nook miles bonus will revert back to day 1
