So I'm plot resetting for Skye today. I didn't like where she was plotting so I ttd back the night before as my mayor to set down patterns. I played yesterday so I made it like 10pm so as not to interfere with anything I did that day. Then I tt'd forward by changing the system clock. I got skye in a good spot, saved and deleted the character. However the time was still set at 10pm and I like the date and time to consistent to real time. Will tting backwards 12 hours affect Skye's plot placement or am I just out of luck?

Uhh, i'm not so sure, but i suggest you wait until she moves in, and then time travel backwards, since time traveling backwards just counts as another day forwards in acnl. But just in case, make her move in, don't risk it xD

so i could just tt forward until she's out of boxes and then set the date and time back right?

She will stay in that spot! I know it seems strange and that going back in time will undo things, but as long as you save during each session it doesn't matter what time you TT, everything you did will be saved. Hence why I can like plant a tree, then TT back a year then back and the tree is all grown up (i don't do that, but just an example)

just for future reference too, any amount of TT backwards registers like one day, whereas TT forward registers that amount of days. So if I TT two days forward the game will respond like two days forward. If I TT two days backwards, it registers like a single day has past. Thats useful to know for like villager cycling.

If I wasn't clear about something or you have more questions let me know, I TT a lot for villager cycling and know a lot, just sometimes don't explain myself well.

excellent. thank you so much! I'll go ahead and tt her out of boxes and and set the date and time right. :)

Skye will still be in the same spot. If TTing backwards could change the plot location, there wouldn't be any need for plot resetting in the first place.

If you saved, she'll be in the same spot since TTing backwards will count as a day forward.
