so in the villager network forum here , I see people say that they are interested in a villager, but need to free up a spot by TT'ing, how does that work?
curious about how to push out villagers o:

also, I think I read in a comment somewhere, that villagers now will always ask before moving, is this true?
that would be nice in case life gets busy and you cant check in, so you dont come back to your villagers that you like, being gone

It basically just consists of skipping an amount of days and checking on your villagers to see if any of them want to move out. I've heard that time travelling about 5 days at a time and talking to every villager gives the best chance of getting a villager to ping you about moving, however you can just go a day at a time if you dont like that idea (i go one day at a time personally)

And yes, im pretty sure they cant move out without first speaking to you

From my experience, villagers will not move out until you confirm it with them, so that's why there are some pretty efficient and safe methods out there

Here's the method I use that was (I believe) initially created by DrewDiddy1996:

Time travel: 1 day: Talk to one villager.

Time travel: 15 day skip: Look for clouds (A villager lost in thought)

(On 15 day skip) If you don’t see clouds save and quit and travel one day forward and continue one day forward until you see clouds above villager.

When you finally get clouds above villager, if it’s not the right one, force quit your game without saving.
(Time travel one day forward & it’ll be a new villager)

Keep doing the force quit (not saving and quitting) until it’s the villager you want to kick out.

One thing to note is that your newest villager, at least in my experience, will never want to move out.

I hope this helps!

OMG this! So this is the reason I can't get my Molly to move out after spending HOURS TTing...

Thanks!

ok, that's helpful :) thanks :D

Just a quick note: if youre worried about villagers complaining about you being gone, that only happens after a week. Thats why i suggest only TTing 5 days at a time. However if you dont care about that TT as much as you want
