I'm new to Animal Crossing and have never time traveled before.

I want to hurry up and move in (3) amiibo villagers and I'm not sure how it works exactly. I understand I can move my Switch clock ahead to like 6 AM the next day over and over. My question is...

After I have moved in all of the villagers and their houses are built, can I just set my clock back to today and all of the changes I have made will stay, new villagers and all? Or do I have to stay in the future?

I know it sounds like a dumb question, but any help or time travel tips you can give me would sure be appreciated. Thanks much.

Yes, you can do that. Just be aware that it's going to take 3 invitations per amiibo villager for them to agree to move in. You're going to have to TT a lot of days before all 3 villagers agree.

yes, you can go back to current day. don’t worry, your question isn’t dumb. time traveling is like a complex situation honestly. even for people who have already played the old games and time traveled, we still ask questions because the mechanics change every now & then! and people are extra careful when it comes to this stuff.

i have one tip for you though. there’s currently a glitch (don’t know if it was fixed) where the villager house exterior might be wrong (aka not change) if you time travel backwards before the villager moves in. so make sure to time travel forward only during this process, and only go back once it’s done. this is what you’ll probably do anyway. but just a heads up!

hope everything goes smoothly because it’s the 3 day move in progress that i can’t take too lol. i have time traveled only for this before.

Thanks for the help everyone, glad I don't have to wait 3 weeks to get get my kids into their new homes :)
