Question about time traveling and shop upgrades

Do I have to time travel day by day? or after I send the amount I need can I go ahead multiple days to get to the (10 day) mark?

before you ask about me time traveling! I had ALL shops but restated my town because I didn't like my map, so now I am working on getting all my shops back to where I was...then im done with the time traveling!

You can skip the whole amount of time to upgrade!

No need to go day by day

you can skip the whole 10 days (even years), but if you care about you villagers not moving, you should go in 2 days lapses and check on them to see if someone wants to move.
