Question about the sounds....

I can not figure out what the ringing or echo sounds do. My daughter and I have tired different things to figure it out but it always seems that you click it and it goes right back to the games music. Does anyone know what they do or how to use them? Thanks.

you find out when you are done with it and you talk to the villagers. The echo for example makes it seem like you are in outer space

I did not realize that sounds had a role, I keep my volume off....should I have it on?
