My best friend and I were talking about what would we do if we lost our favorite villagers accidentally.
I told her I'll fine losing a top tier villager like Beau but I would be sad if I lost Lopez. She told me "your Beau won't move away because he was the last villager to move into your town (my newest villager)." Also she added "the oldest villagers in town will ask to move more often than the newer villagers."

Is that true? Cuz I have no memories of Beau asking me to move for the past 4 months! I also have Diana, Erik and Lopez (my original villagers) asking me if they could move very often.

The 10th villager is just the hardest to get to move out, but that doesn't mean he'll never move out. I'm not sure if it's programmed to be that way in-game, or if it's simply because there are already so many villagers that the game can only focus on one villager at a time.

;w; You gotta be kidding me. So the game is focused on my Lopez all the time?

Not necessarily. I heard its Random. Usually before the new day starts (6 am). The game picks which villager will decide to leave. For example, today Fangis picked to leave. I asked him to stay. So that means he wont be picled again for some time.

But according to my friend do older villagers really have a greater chance of being picked?

Nate moved in at a really awkward spot so I really wanted him gone. Four days later he pinged me and said he was leaving. I can't remember if any other animals pinged me to leave between those two dates.

Really and no one else moved in after Nate moved in? ;)

I have heard of cases where someone moved in and the next few days the animal just left. Usually what you do is introduce yourself when the animal is UNpacking, then do NOT TALK to them for awhile. That usually helps speed up the moving of the villager. But I still think it is random though.

Nobody else moved between those dates.

;)?
Thanks xD

TeeTee,
I like what is suggested in this video. The person states what he figures explains the randomness.

Thanks Candy but the needed factor doesn't help in my case because I talk to all my villager everyday. I wait for everyone of them to ping me daily. So I have high friendships with all of them.
Also my 2nd n' 3rd characters have never talked to Bam, Fauna, Deirdre, Zell, and Beau. However I remember Fauna and Bam rarely asks to move (they are the villagers who moved in before Beau). Also Beau never asked to move. :/

I really think it's random too and I hope it's random too. I don't want to think Lopez has a higher chance of moving out! >_<

I think it's completely random. Maple was my second oldest villager and I had to get 32 villagers to ping me to move before she did.

Well for me, prince is technically one of my oldest and he pings ALOT, he'll ping once and then a few days later another villager will ping and then prince will ping me again!

However, Elvis my 10th villager has not ping'd me once yet since i got him in Nov.

Thanks everyone! I wish Nintendo would warn us when they do something like random villagers moving and give us a probability of them moving.
