Question about sending mail to USA?

I’m from Canada and I was writing an address on envelope to a Amiibo card trader in the states, I noticed that I had written this

City, U.S.A
Postal code

will it still go through or do I have to make another envelope?

If there is any confusion with the post office, they will return it to you as a “return to sender.” Otherwise, you should be fine.

no it should be fine if you put the area code below the city and state. for good measure I would write USA below the postal code as well since it's traveling internationally

I used to work for the US postal service and what you have listed here should work just fine.

Only warning, it may be better for you since Canada shares a border with the US but the mail may take much longer than normal to reach the person you're sending it to because of Covid.

I'm in Japan so I need to do airmail/on a ship and normally it only takes a week or two for a letter to the US but it took nearly 2 months recently. Again for your situation it shouldn't be that bad but if it takes longer than normal for the Amiibo card to arrive I wouldn't panic.
