Hi there!

I have a very big collection of rare Pokemon cards and I wanted to make some extra BTB.

I was wondering if I was allowed to trade these Pokemon cards on The Bell Tree.

I dont want to get in trouble if this is not allowed so if you dont know for sure please do not post :/

In the rules it says they may make exceptions, so you will probably want to talk to a mod about it.

I'm positive you're no longer allowed to do that. Staff don't want anyone selling anything, tangible or intangible, for real life currency. They've made some exceptions for DLC codes as Club Nintendo was about to go under but that was a special case. For pok?mon cards? Doubtful. If you really want to make sure, PM a staff member about it.

You say it's not allowed for "real life currency" but I was talking about an exchange for btb, are both not allowed or did I misunderstand?

It is against the rules. We recently got rid of allowing real world item transactions - see our latest Bell Tree Direct for more information on recent changes.

Pok?mon cards can be sold for real life currency as it is a tangible good. So yes, it's not allowed.

Yes, I did read that but am now confused because it only says it's not allowed for "items representative of real world money."

I didn't think cards were representative of real life money, I mean, hence the term "trading" cards :P

Pok?mon cards count as items representative of real money, in that they have a real currency value.

If you can sell it for cash, you can't sell it for TBT. Think of it like that.

Okay, thank you so much for clearing that up :D But say I did a raffle for them, where each entry is 1 tbt, is that also against the rules? Because I recall seeing others do that.

Yes, this is still against the rules. If you see others doing this then report their threads.

They recently posted something how you're not allowed to trade for real world currency, but I could see your confusion.

I saw someone doing a give away for the new HHD game and some cards, and one of the mods had commented and didn't say it wasn't allowed or even close it down, I think it just depends on who you ask as I think everyone feels differently about it >.<

I personally wouldn't trade cards on here though, if they get messed up in the post {not your fault} some people will still get angry.
