Question about Scarabs

Ok, i know you can get them on the island all year round but my question is do they appear on the banana/coconut trees or other fruit trees? I'm trying to catch one

Scarabs aren't available on the island as far as I'm aware.

Fruit trees, they're really tiny little gold things, so be careful or you won't see them until they fly away.

Scarab beetles are on the island, just a bit rare.

Ahh ok. They arnt? Some sites i've looked at say they're on the island all year round unless they're wrong?

They are available on the island all year. They're very rare and appear on the regular trees, not the palms.

Uh, I can't vouch for anything, but I did see a scarab in October, near Halloween.
It was on a Durian tree, in case that makes a difference.

In previous games Scarabs were found from June-August. On the island they are found all year, but make sure you are searching after 11pm or before 8am.

Scarabs look just like fruit beetles only gold instead of green. Dk if they are on the island or not. If you walk around town during the later hours when they are out you'll ind em just go slow so you don't scare em off. Good luck!

They're on the island. I've caught a few there. Don't recall catching any in the village, but I'm sure I have.

Scarabs are usually around June-Sept. only.

ALL July bugs are available on the island year round. The scarabs are gold and small, much like the fruit beetle, and appear on non-palm trees from 11 pm to 8 am (I think on the end time, but positive on the beginning time). If you have cut down all of your non-palm trees (as many do) you won't find them on the island, but if they are still there, just keep hunting. I know they are available because I caught one the other day.
