Question about saved designs?

So if I have a custom sign design on one character, and I saved it with the Able sisters, what would happen to the design if I deleted a character? Would it still be saved with Mabel, or would it be deleted all together? I'd like to know before I erase any important designs by deleting a mule . Thanks!

I believe it would be completely deleted.

Argh well that's upsetting! I was planning on deleting a character to build a bridge (Isabelle is an idiot and says her house is in the way) then bringing her back again. Oh well, I'll figure something out, and thanks for the answer
