I've been at it since the 7th trying to get Sterling to move where I want him. He's come quite close, but not close enough to where I'd like him to be. I stepped back a day and I haven't found a plot anywhere in sight. I just want to make sure that his house plot won't be around after doing this, because I need to regulate the situation, because he's being stubborn. Can I safely start up my mayor without his house being around?

If his plot doesn't show up with the new character, save with the new character. Sterling's plot should show up in the next day or two. However, since plots do not show up on one specific day, not saving with a new character could mean that a plot could show up if you just start up with your mayor!

Trust me when I say that would be a bad idea. I'm an old hand at resetting for plots and all I can say is don't give up! Because when you've come so close it would really stink to find him trampling your hybrids ;-;

Alternatively, you could make a new character and if he is not anywhere, save the day and then you will be safe to play as your mayor for that day :D

6th - If this is the same day that you invited Sterling in, you're safe to start up your mayor without any issues.
7th - We all know that you shouldn't start up your Mayor on this day.

Well, the initial plan was to plant a new house in a spot where a the villager can put his house next to the new house and place a PWP in another area where the villagers house keeps going, thus blocking off one major area he loves and hopefully getting him where I want him.

As I've shared with emcconville, that's my plan. But I think I'm going to play it safe. I guess I should have tested this earlier with a villager I didn't plan on keeping.

Okay. I remember someone else mentioning a similar situation sometime ago, but I didn't look into it and I wanted to just make sure. Thanks!

Basically, TT back to the same day you visited someone to invite Sterling into your town. (If you didn't invite him in, this is pretty useless.) Build a PWP, and TT back to the 7th
