Question about resetting villager clothing...

I've never had to do this before because I'm not a purist when it comes to my villagers (I like giving them clothes/new furniture etc.), but somehow Ozzie got a hold of a Suspender Outfit, and I can't stand when he wears it.

If I ask Isabelle to reset his clothes will it reset ALL of his clothes, or just the item he's wearing when I complain?

Sad to say complaining to Isabelle will only temporarily put him back to his default shirt. It won't remove it from his inventory. To get it out of circulation you have to keep giving him tops. Villagers have a maximum of 24 pieces of clothing they can have in their wardrobes.

Is it possible to mail villagers a bunch of the same shirt and fill up their inventory faster to get rid of an unwanted shirt? Or are you stuck gifting them one a day in person? Or what?

I'd love to make it so that Marina will never dress up like a jester again. ^o^;>

You can keep mailing it to them but beware that they can display clothing in their house if they have a 1x1 none marker
