Question about Perfect Fruit?

I haven't had perfect fruit in my town almost at all D:
My native fruit is pears.
The first day, I had one perfect pear which I planted. It grew, but it just grew normal pears for some reason. At least I believe so, since the tree is still there, but it may have wilted and I didn't notice and just planted another pear tree near it?
From then on, I haven't had perfect fruit. I've been harvesting and harvesting, but no new perfect fruits have grown. What should I do?

Keep planting new regular Pear trees. Eventually you'll get a perfect one.
