Question about not playing for a little while.

Unfortunately I have to stop playing new leaf for a little while. A villager just left so I am down to 8 villagers - will they all be safe, and not move away, until I can play again?

Yes you're safe! This happened to me! The best way to be on a hiatus is to have 8 villagers because no one will move out! However someone will move in automatically the next day. I stopped playing for a good 3 months because of university and no one moved out

When you're down to 8 villagers, I don't believe anyone will move out, but someone can move in.
