Question About Nicknames

So, when you have a visitor over at your town, can they find out the nickname that your villagers call you? Like, do they refer to you as your nickname sometimes or is it only between you and the villagers? Just wondering, because I'm having visitors over today and I really don't want them to know what my villagers call me... >.>

I don't think they really can. Whenever I visit my friends towns, their villagers always referred to them as their IGN and not by any nicknames.

I don't think they do. anyway why would you care we all get the same nicknames you get. it's not like your visitors/friends are going to laugh at you be and be like haha they call you that.

No, there's a backstory behind what I told my villagers to call me. If you knew the whole story trust me you'd know why I'm worried. o.o;
