Hey everyone~

So all of my siblings have a 3DS, and when they open it, it makes a soft "click" noise....all except for mine. I have a pink 3DS and for some odd reason, the click it makes is really loud...The screen slighly wobbles too....is that something I should be worried about?

Is there anyway to make the click a little softer? All of my other siblings' 3DSes aren't as loud as mine....and it's kind of getting irritating...Does anyone else have this problem, as well?

Also, I heard that the reason why it wobbles is because the hinge is loose? Is there anyway to tighten the hinge?

Thanks!

Is yours a 3DS XL or a regular 3DS? I have a pink/white XL, and the wobbling screen was something I noticed almost immediately after opening it for the first time. If you give it a little shake, the screen will teeter back and fourth just a bit, but enough to cause concern.

I read up on it and apparently the hinges on the 3DS model were recently altered to make screens more safe from cracking in case the 3DS is snapped shut too hard or too fast. I don't know for sure where this information came from, but I do know cracking screens is an older problem and it would make sense for them to fix that.

My sister has the 3DS XL from the bundle, and hers only makes one soft click when she closes it. However, mine will click once as I lower the screen, and then one more time just before it shuts fully.

I think this is normal, even if you don't have an XL. If it's interrupting or distracting you when you're trying to play on it or seems as if it might break, though, I'd contact Nintendo and ask them what they think.

Oh okay, thanks for the information! I have a regular 3DS.

Yeah, it's just that it started to become a little annoying by how loud it was clicking, and then the screen was wobbly, so I started to get worried if something happened. I don't recall dropping it hard (only a few times on a small distance to carpet).

Anyways, thanks! I think I might contact Nintendo as well.
