question about moving?

I have 6 villagers right now (I just started). One is moving in tomorrow (their spot is reserved with the little rope fense). Can I adopt a villager from the Villager Trade boards?

My 6th moved in yesterday. I'm not time traveling. I know the game usually doesnt let it happen that fast, but since I only have 6? (7, including the reserved plot?)

Yes you can. I've done this before.

So if you were to start a new town, and had the time, could you adopt five other villagers before your game set ones move in? (If so that is so awesome.)
