Question about moving villagers?

I think I've seen this thread before but I can't remember or find the exact one that helped me out. I went to talk to Walker and he said that Lolly is thinking about moving. Of course I booked my butt over to her house to tell her otherwise, but she never pinged or mentioned it. It's Fishing Tourney day so you know all my villagers are babbling about fish until 6 tonight. What should I do to ensure I've talked Lolly out of moving? I don't wanna check my game one day and she's just gone. Like I said, I know I've seen this somewhere on here, but I just wanted to be sure.

I'm almost 100% sure I just had to wait 'til the tourney ended. After the ceremony, they'll all have one thing to say about the tourney before returning to their normal conversations.

If she still doesn't ping you right away, save and quit and start your game up again, then get your butt in front of Lolly without encountering any other villagers and she will ping.

If I TTed to later on tonight after the tourney is over and talk to her, would that work? :/

I'm guessing that should work, but I don't TT so I hope someone else can confirm this.

Mkay! Thanks for the input! I'mma see if anyone can confirm the traveling forward thing and if not, I'll just wait and do what you said.

I can confirm it. Portia was said to want to move, but it was a Fishing Tourney then for me as well, so I panicked when she didn't ping me. I TTed to 9 PM though and the villagers started reacting normally and she pinged me, so it's just a matter of waiting until the tournament comes to an end and the prizes have already been handed out.
