So, because a source said all I had to do was put on the item she gives me to pass her evaluation that's all I've been doing each time she visits...just wondering if anybody has gone all out and changed every piece of clothing to match her theme, and if so, do you get a better reward?

According to the Companion Guide, you'll unlock a Labelle item for having 2 clothing items that pass the theme. For 3 items, you only get an additional Tailor Ticket. You'll also gain a larger friendship boost with her if you have more on-theme items. That friendship value isn't currently used in the game to my knowledge, but people think that it may lead to something like a future store upgrade like with Gracie in the previous games. That's all theory, though.

I hate putting all the work into making my island look the way I want it to, just to have to worry about future updates that could include new mandatory buildings...
If they just upgraded the Able Sisters shop like they do with Nook's Cranny then I'd be fine...

Oh no! I'm sorry for giving you anxiety. D: I totally get that it can be frustrating and stressful it is to have to worry about future updates like that, especially after putting so much work and thought into your town already.
But this is all just theory for now based on the fact that the friendship meter exists. I'm not sure if it makes you feel any better or not, but since people are equating Label to Gracie in the previous games, I think most people are expecting it to be a store upgrade to Nook's Cranny, so it won't take up any extra space. I personally can't see Label getting her own standalone store.
