Question about Katie

Katie showed up in my town today. So how long do I have to send her on her way? Does she have to be gone by midnight? If so then the next person has to have her gone by midnight? Sorry Im pretty new so dont know what the rules are with Katie. Can she just spend the night? Thanks in advance for your help. I do have someone to take her but they dont have anyone after they get her.

like most things in-game, if katie doesn't travel before 6am (when the game resets) she'll just disappear from your town the next day.

OK...so even if I drop her off then that person has to get rid of her by 6 am too.

Katie will only show up on the town you've visited after a day or two.
