Question about Island Tours and Badges

So, I was wondering if the bugs or fish you catch in the Island Tours count towards your Bug/Fish Encyclopedia?
Not the "New catch", just the count towards how many fish/bugs you caught? Does anyone know?

They don't count, unfortunately. Only what you catch on the island and in your town (or others' towns) count.

tours don't count, but stuff you do on the island do.

Also, if you catch a fish or bug at a tour and you're allowed to keep it (for instance, if you catch a fish at a bug hunting tour thanks to Lloyd's tools), it does fill its gap in the Encyclopedia, and it stays in your pockets instead of being released.
