Question about initial move-in?

So my town got deleted (T_T), and I had to re-start.

I'm at the point where the first nine villagers are moving in, and #8 has been unpacked for two days, but there are no new plots (all the other villagers set up a plot the first day the last move-in was unpacked). I don't understand what's happening. Help?

Just wait until the next day. Sometimes it takes a few days for a new villager to plot. The 9th villager will show up eventually.

Gotcha. Thanks! (I'm doing the new character re-set thing, so I can make sure the newbies aren't plopping their house down someplace stupid, and it's a bit frustrating not knowing which days to start as a new character)
