so this year my birthday happens to fall on thanksgiving. i did get a notification on my bulletin board about my birthday coming up, but i wasn’t sure if two holiday events can take place on the same day! usually i would assume they would happen simultaneously, but a friend of mine whose birthday was during her game’s tutorial week said she didn’t get a party so i’m curious as to how the game handles the player’s birthday “interrupting” an event (like a holiday or the tutorial)

I don’t have a defin ite answer but my guess is that your birthday stuff probably happens first and then after that the event begins. I don’t TT and I haven’t experienced my birthday in game so I only know a bit about what happens on your birthday but it sounds like it’s not happening in the plaza, so I don’t imagine it would interfere.

Yeah, I'm not a hundred percent sure, but I would assume that the day would start with your birthday, and then once you end your party, the other event starts. I remember playing NL I really wanted all of the villagers that had the same birthdays as me, my brother, my mom, and my dad. But my dad's birthday falls on Halloween, and there were no villagers with that for a birthday, for this very reason. So that bummed me out...
as unfortunate as it is, it makes sense that your friend may not have been able to celebrate their birthday party during the tutorial week if their villagers had yet to upgrade their tents to an actual house due to the way the event is celebrated. for that same reason (the way the event is celebrated), i imagine that you shouldn't run into any problems with having a birthday that falls on a holiday, however i've personally never experienced the situation ur in so i can't say for certain.

Kris' birthday was on Halloween and the birthday celebration happened before the event.
