I have seen towns where the paths are lined with gyroids. Does this keep villagers from moving their houses onto the paths? I also saw a town where the paths were lined with moneybags - does this keep villagers from moving onto the paths?

No, they'll just move over them. Nothing can stop villagers moving into a certain spots other than PwP. ^^

This is the one feature of the game that I really hate. I have four houses so I can't do the reset trick - not that I'd want to anyway - it seems so tedious.

I've built a lot of PWP's near paths to keep villagers off, but 30 aren't enough to protect them all. It's not like a have a ton either. There's lots of open space for the villagers to move onto.

I wish that there was something I could do to keep them off my paths - they can live anywhere else - I don't care, just stay off the paths!

Olivur - that's a good question. I hope someone knows the answer....but I'm thinking that since they move onto trees they would move onto bushes too.

Animals will move onto literally any free space of land. >.< The only thing that can keep them away is PWPs, and, for some reason, rocks. I once had Nana move in two tiles in front of The Roost, it was awful, and it took her a month to leave.
