So snow gets rid of all the dirt in the town right? so any grass wear that happened throughout the year will be gone with the come of snowfall. This is great for me, I can't wait for all my dirt to be gone ;_; i was wondering, though, since i want my eventual dream address to be a fall town, in order for the grass to come back, do i have to wait until the following autumn, or can i just TT backwards and it'll be all nice and grassy? has anyone ever tried this before? would it be better to just try and grow my grass back?
thanks in advance :)

I'm not sure what you mean... you can do it either way, as long as you go through an autumn. For example, you can TT back to this winter and back to normal, or to the last winter and back to the present. I don't think you'll get dirt back (at least on the same spots).

It makes more sense to me to travel back to last winter and then back to this autumn, since TTing backwards counts as one day forward, and I don't know if the snow just resets the dirt or lets it grow back over time by protecting the ground when you want.

Just be careful when TTing forward, to make sure you don't lose any villagers!

does the snow remove all grass wear?? ohh yeeeaahh now i can't wait until winter!!! and idk i've never tried it, but i think that would work? don't see why not!!

oh that sucks, got my hopes up for nothing )x

it's orobably better to spam your town with flowers then, that's what i'm doing and the grass grows back slowly but surely

i probably should have mentioned that my town is currently in november. so snow should be falling soon. so it'd probably work for me to TT backwards to autumn after snow falls, and no dirt would be there?

@Hidden Owl and lencurryboy:

there are several guides that mention snow/rain regrow grass and it's also on the wiki

It indeed does speed up the process of regeneration, but it doesn't completely replenish it at once.

Also, you will never be able to cover up all the dirt. There are numerous spots in every town that will always be dirt.

Yup i wanted to say that there's certain spots that will always be dirt patches.. And Rain and snow helps a bit, but it won't fix all grasswear in an instant. It will take some time..

If you don't mind TTing, the fastest way to grow the grass back is to TT like a week or two ~ a month forward. I did it like once and worked like a charm. You just have to do it on the day you deny someone's moving ping so you don't lose any villagers /dreamies when you TT.

Ahh that's helpful, thanks!
