Question about getting villagers from the void / other towns.

My brother's town currently has Axel moving out, but I reeeaaallly don't want to end up with him in my town, as I already recently picked up someone from his void.
However, I need to go pick up some items that I was holding in that town.

If I visit, pick up everything, and leave without talking to Axel at all, is there still a chance he'll end up in my town if I don't visit again before he officially leaves and my brother clears him out of his void?

I think so. Here's what you need to do to prevent that from happening.

1. Have Axel move out. If you can have him adopted, skip to the third and last step.
2. Okay, so he's "voided". Have your brother visit a town over Wi-Fi, specifically one with 10 villagers in it.
3. Safe to visit now.

Unless your brother doesn't have any other friends that play ACNL on his 3DS' friends list, try turning off the Wi-Fi and hope that Axel doesn't end up in your town.
But then again, I've gotten 3 snooties in my town from DE VOID and only one of those snooties moved out as of now so....yeah.

This is a really good question. Both my brother and I play ACNL and every time we kick out a hated villager, the other one of us ends up with it. Example: I finally got Olivia to leave, he got Olivia. Few days later Boone left his town and came to mine. We don't even visit each others town much. It's the whole streetpassing thing.

I've turned off streetpass and I don't get them that way, but I still get them over local wireless.
I guess I'll just hold off until I can get the void cleared or I get 10 villagers myself, which kinda stinks, but oh well. Better than getting him and having 3 jocks. :/

I know, right. I literally have no idea how to stop the yucky villagers from coming to my town. It stinks! Good luck though~

I just read that the clearing of the void by visiting a full town is not a guaranteed thing. It was actually on this forum. I was shocked, but felt I should let you know. I'll try to find the post.

that's kind of annoying, dang.
the whole picking up villagers over wireless feature is annoying, period; there should be an option for it or something. :|
