Question about Fruit Trees

Hi, I'm working on a fruit tree "garden", and I'm unsure about spacing. Is it okay to leave only one space in between each tree or should I leave two?

One space between trees is fine, even fruit trees.
Just make sure they have one space all around and you're golden.

 

[Hayate]

1 space is fine, they will grow like that.
