Question about earning badges on someone else's island

Hi~

If you travel to someone else's island and earn a badge, will the date show up as whatever the host's in-game date is, or will it be the date on your own system?

I'm not sure if that makes sense, so I'll use an example. Let's say you're playing with someone else and you're diving around their island, catching sea creatures. You end up earning one of the "Deep Dive" badges.

Your island is set to the correct date of March 28th 2021. However, the host's date is... I dunno, September 1st 2023.

Will the date of your badge show up as March 28th 2021, or will it be September 1st 2023?

It shows up as their date, so in your example it would say September 2023 my partner time travels loads so I know this from experience

My countdown celebration badge says 06/06/20 because that's the date it was in my town when I visited my friend's island on new year's (her town is synced in real time).

I just tried it using my two Switches. I only made them one day apart. When I earned a badge, it showed up as my character's home Switch date, even though she was in the secondary Switch island.

I wonder if it works differently for some people, or perhaps some badges work differently than others? That could explain why ectofeature's badges show up as their partner's date rather than their own~
