Question about dead trees

So, I do this during autumn. Starting at September, I shake all my perfect pear trees until they die around December. It fits a lot. But I have a question? Do dead trees count as trees for the perfect town rating? Ok, that is all.

I'm not sure if they do. If your perfect town rating goes down, then I guess they don't. XD

Never really experimented with this, so if you do, will you let me know? I never really had the dead trees before.

I'm not sure about this either but would be curious to know. I know stumps don't count, so my guess is that dead trees don't count either.

Dead trees count as "trees" so they will not affect your perfect town status, just your overall tree count

I had to look it up to make sure. But my town also has a fair amount of dead trees, around 10 or so, (I have a haunted forest part) and I've never lost perfect town status! Stumps don't count as trees though.
