I've recently started playing again after a long time and I used to cycle and am now trying to again. Besides having a cycling town, I also traded/sold villagers and tried to get specific ones out a lot. I always used the two day method. I have noticed that everyone considers it outdated now and I am kind of surprised. Not that people think it's bad (because it certainly was not easy), but that there doesn't really seem to be a great replacement.
The only other guide I can find basically says, when you have 9 villagers TT forward a day at a time and talk to your villager best friend. I don't really see how this is faster or innovative. Or safe, for that matter. Villagers are not reliable enough to tell you every time if someone is moving.
For the TT two day method, I don't understand why people are saying it's broken (basically). Although I faced the problem of *finding* the villager who was moving, and had several accidental move outs of very important villagers, someone always did want to move. So what's the deal? Please update me and educate me!
