Question About Characters

So i'm pretty sure I made my mayor character a boy. But sometimes I wonder if maybe I slipped and pushed the wrong button while talking to rover because sometimes villagers send my supposedly male character skirts and dresses and says it would look "good on them." Also, gulliver sometimes says something like "are you my princess?" when I wake him up and I read somewhere he only says that to female characters. So, does anyone know of a way to somehow check what gender my character is?

It would help if we saw what your character looked like.

Gulliver will sometimes say "are you my princess?" when you wake him up other times it's different (he's said it to my male characters) a simple way is to see how villagers address you (whether they say he or she) or the default hairstyle. If you've changed you're hairstyle stop by shampoodle and see which options you end up with (are they the male hairstyles or the female ones)

Oh and at able sisters if you're purchasing a dress/skirt as a guy they might ask you if you're shopping for a present. And sometimes Labelle will say something along the lines of "That's a female item but I'm sure you can pull it off!"

Pretty sure you didn't select the wrong option. The quickest and easiest way to find out if your mayor is male is by checking your TPC which is the red icon in the touch screen. If your card is blue, you're a male, if it's pink, you're a female.

Male characters have a slightly wider smile than female ones. This pic is the only male and female eye shape that are the same, but as you can see, you can still tell the genders apart with the smile width.

You can check using your TPC, If it is blue then your character is a male, If it is pink then your character is female

My character is my second town is a boy and Francine sends him dresses in mail etc. The boys faces are totally different from the girls, cause most of them don't have lashes and usually a wider mouth. Also it's noticeable that boys wear gray pants under their clothes while girl wears a gray skirt c:
