Question about adding a fanfiction on the forums

So recently I started making a story on the fanfiction site, and I'm having a lot of fun with it but I'm wondering. Since it's an M Rated story and I'm trying to reach out for more viewers. Is it possible to link it to my signature. The reason why I'm asking is that I don't want suffer the consequences after I link my story.

As far as adding it to your signature, I would probably say no. Mainly because the site is meant to be a PG site (since Animal Crossing games are all PG), most of the members on here are younger, and if I were you I wouldn't risk getting an infraction for doing it. Although if it were a PG-13 fanfic, it might slide.

Then again, I've seen a lot of horrors on here the mods allowed (even for a short amount of time), so in the end it's up to you.

I've seen signatures here with mild gore in them, so I'd imagine it's okay. After all, people choose what they want and don't want to read. As long as you put a warning in there you should be fine.

It depends on the content, I'd guess? A user had sexual fanfictions on her deviantart which she had linked, so I honestly really don't know. I'd watch your step a bit?

i think it's fine as long as you leave a disclaimer in your sig next to the link, but i'd pm a mod to make sure

I believe if you wrote it, you could post it(the actually story, not a link to it) in the museum forum(with a graphic content warning). You could also put a link in your sig.

I think with NSFW content it has to be in a spoiler with it clearly labled as NSFW

Just plop "not suitable for all audiences" and you're fine.

With something like this, it's going to largely depend on the content of your story. We would have to ask that you refrain from linking to anything that would be a violation of our site rules and guidelines if it were posted here, so essentially anything of a sexually graphic or overly violent nature, anything that promoted terrorism or racial hatred of any kind, or something that was otherwise very clearly inappropriate for a forum with many members who are under the age of 13.

I realize you've been told many different things here, but I'd recommend PMing your story to either myself or another staff member so we can take a look at it first, and please do not post it in The Museum or any other board, even with a "NSFW" tag, as this is the same as posting it outright and can earn you a warning depending on the content.

Just err on the side of caution with these types of things that may fall into a grey area, and feel free to send your story to one of us so we can talk it over and give you a definitive answer on whether or not it's okay to link.
