Question about 2nd character moving to new town

So if you have a second, non-mayor character in town and you use the option to move to a new town on another cartridge/DS, what are you able to take with you? Do you keep your items and bells? What about the size of your house, or do you have to start over from scratch with the tiny house again?

You keep everything in your pockets closet and your money in the atm, you also get your old house so you don't have to start again! And everything in your house is still there too!

Last night I saw my fianc? doing something on my DS. I asked him what he was doing and he told me he wanted to check on his character and his house. (In my old town I had a side character named after him). I told him he doesn't have a house anymore. He was like "what?? I don't have a house? Make me one so I can run around in your town!" And I told him no, I don't have any room for him. LOL... Maybe if I get a 2nd copy I will make him a house .__.

Awww that's so cute It took a while before my husband decided he wanted his own town, because he said he liked living in mine.

I'm pretty sure they can only be moved to a game without any save information, therefore making you create a new town.
