Question About 16 Villager Cycle...

So, I haven't seen Celia or Pierce in my town street at all lately and I'm starting to wonder if I've reached the 16 villager cycle or not. The problem is, I have no idea how to check to see if I have. Is it possible to check by going to another person's town who has your villager and see if they remember you or will they only remember you if you gave them to a friend?

If you no longer see them in your town street there's a good chance that you have completed the 16 villager cycle. The villager will only remember you if you go to the town where your original villager went to live.

Do you have an estimate of how many ex-villagers show up at the plaza at once and all the places they visit? I'm wondering if I should bother checking the museum. Found Butch in there lol. That answers that question.

I'm pretty sure 3 Villagers show up on the main street and 5 Villagers spread thereselves in your museum, able sisters and T&T. Just as the persons above said, you can visit your mainstreet for a couple of in-game-days and if they don't show up you can be pretty sure.
