PWP Trick,

I've been doing this for over an hour, 5-8 minute per each round in the water. What am I doing wrong? They just keep on asking me random questions. Is this normal?

So, I took your guy's suggestions and I've been doing the trick after 5 pm or before 10 am. It worked the first few times but now, it's taking 6+ tries (30+ min) and I'm getting I got impaitient. I tried quitting, then coming back for different villagers and nothing happened. Do I need to become better friends with the villagers? I talk to each of them daily. I don't know what's wrong.

Yes, it's normal. make sure to fill your pockets with flowers. also make sure to be in the very far corner of water and keep doing it

I feel like they are more prone to request a PWP either in the morning before 10am or after 5pm. At least when I'm doing rounds around the town at around 1-2pm, I don't think I've ever got a PWP request. I think the only way to go about it is to be patient >.> Good luck!

Can confirm! My villagers usually request PWPs in the late hours of the night for me, and its usually Chadder

That's probably why it's taking so long, I usually do the PWP trick in between those hours! Thanks for the tip

I've had the most success with this around 5pm (I have my ingame clock set a few hours back so I don't see the late-night hours very often) and I always figured it was just some weird coincidence. Huh.

Though I have to say, it doesn't make a difference where I'm floating in the ocean. I could just take two steps in and float for 5min and come back out and I'll get a ping right away, whether it's some nonsense thing or an actual PWP request.

Also make sure you are swimming right to the corners of the ocean so that you appear "off map"

Make sure you fill your pockets with flowers so that it lowers the amount of choices your villagers could ping you about. I usually float in the corner of my map for 6 minutes on the nose. As well, I believe that your villagers also have to be your friends. If they don't really know you yet, they won't request a PWP (or it'll take super long). My villagers weren't really friendly towards me and they never requested a PWP. Then when I started talking to them a lot over the course of four days, Pudge requested the Police Station.

Don't worry about it, just keep on trying. I suggest trying to befriend them as I suspect that this may or may not increase the chance of getting a PWP from a certain villager.

Most it took me was about 7 tries, I think. By the way, after an hour has passed, you need to talk to a villager who will notify you that you should 'take a break'. Then the next villager you see will ping you.

I've never noticed a correlation with hours I usually do the trick late at night, though, and I also get a suggestion within 1-2 hours. I haven't bothered with it in a while, though, because I have yet to get anything I actually want x_x

I think it's a lot easier to do if you multitask and work on something else at the same time. I just set the in-game timer item to 5-10 minutes, do some cleaning or work, and come back when it goes off. And then repeat until I get a suggestion.
