Purposely getting 2nd/3rd place in Bug-Off

I got 2nd and 3rd place on purpose.

No, I go for the goal! And I won with only 90 points today too. Surprising.

I wanted to collect all of the trophies, but I found it super difficult. You'd think it'd be more difficult to get first place, but no, you either win the whole thing by mistake or lose.

I always just go for the gold. I want to be first in everything!
That's why before the Bug-Off, I always catch an island beetle the night before. Villagers can't score past eighty (at least, that's what I got from a website- could be wrong though), and most beetles are past 100, so you should be safe the entire day.

I got first place again and wasn't trying. Gave him a bug from my town and got 99 points. It's one the villager could catch.
Caught another one and he gave me 66 points.
I use my extra players to get the trophy.
I also use my harvest town on bug off days. Play with all four players and they have come in 3rd a lot.
Still need a silver for one of my towns to catalog.

I will try to have 3 villagers with acces to the island and catch a beetle for each one, no one should be able to beat a beetle, if you want to make sure, ust catch a golden stag with each villager, like that you should have 1st, 2nd and third places on your villagers.

I finally got the bronze trophy today! Just catch like a 50 point bug early in the day and just forget about the competition. Now if I could get a gold trophy without cheating by catching a rare bug on the island, that would make my day.

That shouldn't be too difficult. I caught a Raja butterfly in my town and it was worth 71 points. Just in case, I also submitted a 82 point agrias butterfly I had caught in my town.

I must say that intentionally trying for the silver/bronze just to fill out the catalog seems to be the epitome of obsessive behaviour!

I always go for the gold too, but now that I have a second character I managed to get both gold and silver.

I don't know what happened. I have 4 characters. I had everyone except the mayor (got the gold net yesterday... finally) enter the contest. Won gold with 136 points, won silver with 117 points and my last character turned in a bug with 111 points, but Lopez won bronze with 91 points. What the heck????? Will the game not let you win all 3 trophies at the same time?

Huh. That sounds really strange. I only have two characters so I can't try it out for myself. :/

I tried this and just can not do it....but there is one thing I hate more..

"79 points" I CONSTANTLY get that. DUDE GIVE ME BY BUG FURNITURE!

Either way I enjoy the bug off quite a bit.
