Hi guys!

I have just recently started playing NL and have seen people put designs on the floor where they want their public works projects, and that is what I am planning on doing to organise my town.
Is anyone able to tell me the sizes of the PWPs so I can start plotting? There isn't any in particular I would like to know, just as many as you guys can think of please :D

Thank you in advance!

A tip: you can use patterns on the ground to also stop villagers from moving on top of them. Villager houses need 3x3 tiles free. So if you want to develope the area around your PWPs, or need the extra room, put extra patterns around it every two tiles to prevent villagers from moving too close to it.

Go here. It gives you a list of every public works project along with their sizes.

Thank you!

You're welcome. It's incredibly useful for landscaping. You can literally choose where villagers will move in by putting patterns everywhere, leaving 3x3 areas open for villager homes. Makes your town a little unappealing for a while, but the end product is amazing. It's also just handy for preventing random move-ins from screwing you over, lol.

One thing to add, if you mark a spot for a villager home, leave the middle block on the bottom open (where the door is).

I don't think this is really required, but I personally do it anyways.

Thank you for the tips guys! I haven't got the QR machine yet so but once I lay paths I can think more about landscaping and moving people in/out a lil more. I have many villagers I don't particularly want and their placement is annoying :')

Who are the villagers you don't want? Just curious if there's someone I want as I can pay good money for them.

I believe the user "x0xindy" is looking for Drago.

I'm still new and unsure on how to time travel safely, so I cannot rush villagers to move out asap. I'll probably wait untill I can place paths before I learn to time travel.

Was this added in the Welcome Amiibo update? I haven't played much since then, but if it does work this is super convenient!

Yeah I got Midge to move in exactly where I wanted her to by covering my entire town. You still want to do the traditional plot resetting though, since she did try to move into a couple spots I missed.
