I was wondering if anyone knew how to get better public works projects such as the fairy tale bridges clocks and benches picnic places I just always get the rubbish stuff like a bin or sign

I believe it is random, :c. I know if you have a better relationship with your villager they tend to request pwp more atleast once a ACNl day

Certain types of villagers will just randomly recommend different projects. It's mostly just luck.

It's random, but the possible projects are subdivided by personality. If there's a certain one you want, get more of the personality that suggests the desired PWP.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Normal villagers will suggest the fairytale themed works to you.

As said above, it's pure luck. There's a tumblr post with pictures on what villager personality will request what though, so if you want a higher chance of getting certain things it's a good idea to have more than one of that personality. I had to wait a long time before I got the things I wanted, like the tower. And I still don't have everything, but that's the fun of collecting them!
