PSP 3000 or Go?

I've been pondering which PSP I should upgrade to for awhile now since my PSP-1000 model is now *censored.2.0*ty seeing as it can't hold a charge, the UMD drive cover is coming off, and the buttons hardly respond and usually get stuck. I've got like 8 UMDs and my mother refuses to trade in consoles, so if I were to get the Go, I'd still have my *censored.2.0*ty 1000 to use. If were to get the 3000 though, I'd have to search for a better Mem Stick since my current one is only a Gig. Help?
