How to Sign Up for a Free Nintendo Switch Online Trial Membership | Nintendo Support

Follow these steps to set up your free seven-day trial Nintendo Switch Online membership.

Every Nintendo account can get a 7 day trial of the Nintendo Online subscription if they aren't currently subscribed and haven't used their trial yet.

The link above gives you a step-by-step tutorial on how to activate it, but please note that it auto-renews and that you want to cancel it immediately.

You can also wait for your trial and use it at a more appropiate time (for example Christmas), the opportunity stays even if you have a membership inbetween.

EDIT: If you used it before this spring, make sure to check it out again because Nintendo reset trials because of the current pandemic.

I haven't used my free trial membership yet, but was hoping for the online economy to get less insane. I might end up going for it sooner rather than later though because I'm sick of not being able to have peaches or apples.

Unfortunately you have to pay for a membership for the silk rug. However. If you get the free trial, I’d be happy to bring you a silk rug.

According to the site you can use your trial when your subscription runs out, as long as you never used the trial before.

do you know of it stacks? i have the one from purchasing nee horizons digitally but I have a year subscription already.

You can't use the trial while you have a subscription going, but the one from buying the game should just add to your year subscription.

I was thinking of getting a second Switch and in case it has an option for free trial, would it be ok to give it away in here as I’m going to link my own account from original Switch to use the family function for NSO. This is just my own suggestion, I can’t promise anything until I have tried and seen how it turns out first.

You can give it away on this forum, either in TBT Marketplace because it's general or Dodo Business Class because it'll be a service for ACNH.

Though the only thing that should come with a subscription is the digital version of New Horizons, it's available with purchases until April 30th.
