Last night I placed and paid for a zen bridge while my friend was in town over online play. This morning the bridge is not complete and has had 0 bells donated. It's not a big deal but ugh it sucks to waste 220,000 bells. :(

How did the session end? If there was a communication error or someone ‘left quietly’, then it reverts back to the last autosave, which might have been before you paid for the bridge.

In which case, you should still have the bells too. Maybe check your ABD?

I was unaware you could even do such things while in multiplayer online.

That's weird. I've helped my husband pay off his bridge in multiplayer and it was fine. Was there a disconnect?

Are you sure there wasn’t a comm error, which would send the game back to your last autosave from before you paid it off? I’ve donated directly to my friend’s bridges & inclines and had them donate to mine in both NL and NH and they were always successfully built.

Ahh I mis-spoke, I placed the bridge before my friend came to the island. I had my other islander around with local multiplayer at the time.

My online friend left via airport and I didn't have my bells back in ABD. :(

Perhaps I hit some kind of race condition by doing both kinds of multiplayer in rapid succession.
