Hey there,

My brother is getting a PS4 Pro and has offered me his regular PS4. I have a PS3 that I mostly use for Netflix (but also used for MLB.TV which is no longer supported on the console) and a few games (MLB the Show, Katamari, Skyrim).

I guess what I am here to ask is for those of you who have a PS4, what game(s) do you recommend? I am going to pick up Shadow of the Colossus because I loved the original and can't wait to revisit it. I'll get an MLB game, and probably Skyrim (how many times does one need to play it, anyways?) Other than that, I can't think of anything else that makes it that big an upgrade over what I have right now.

Thanks for your suggestions! If there are any other benefits of the PS4 over the PS3, feel free to list them!

I know you should get Dark Souls 3, Fallout 4, and the newest spiderman game on the PS4. But they're also so many other games that are very good but they,re so many I can't list them all.

Also you can search up a list of the most good popular games for the PS4, trust me they're so many of them and they are better then Nintendo games.

I just told you those 3 games just for a starter on the PS4

Definitely get the new Spider Man game its incredible! and they are releasing alot of dlc for it but idk if its free or not. The Assassins Creed games are amazing too, the creators real put a lot of effort into historical accuracy into the games. I have never played the God of War games personally but a friend of my claims they are amazing too. I haven't played alot of games multiplayer wise but ive heard Overwatch is good and Fornite isnt half bad its just the fanbase thats cringey.

Yeah Fortnite is a free game on the PS4 and its a good start on your PS4 so is Overwatch as well.

Definitely backing Spider-Man, I really love the game and it feels great. Ratchet and Clank 2016 was pretty fun, Persona 5 if you didn't get it for PS3, the newest God of War is extremely fun, Nier Automata is recommended constantly in my friend circles, Yakuza and Uncharted. Pretty much anything after that I would recommend is shooter based.

For what it is worth, I picked up:
- Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
- Shadow of the Colossus
- Bloodborne
- Batman: Arkham Knight
- Destiny 2
- MLB: the Show 18

That should give me enough to do for a while; I'll look into Marvel's Spider-Man and Persona 5 down the road if I need some other stuff. Thanks all for the input.

Bloodborne is kinda the same as Dark Souls 3 but Bloodborn story mode is better then Dark Souls 3 and the online on Bloodborne isn't fun as online on Dark Souls 3.

So Bloodborne is a very fun game to have on the PS4

yakuza kiwami, persona 5, and monster hunter world are my disaster trio that i constantly play. i'd also recommend spyro: the reignited trilogy and catherine: full body once that comes out.

I haven't played the PS3, but I have played Bloodborne on the PS4.
The game's fantastic, but it's unfortunately a console exclusive.
