Ps3 help

hey guys.

my friends ps3 wont read any sort of disk, and when you put it in it makes a clerpunk noise.

anyone know how to fix?

It's the disc drive, you could maybe try a disc laser cleaner, that may help. If that doesnt work send it back to sony and they will fix it for you.

I just googled and this might help.

THE SOLUTION!

Turn ON your PS3.
Go into the menu with all the scrolling menus
Go into system settings and make sure auto-play is on.
Press the PS button on your controller until you see the stand-by type menu.
 The screen has a dark filter on it and it should say "TURN OFF CONTROLLER, TURN OFF SYSTEM"
Insert disc
VIOLA!
