Hey guys!! So i was wondering if any of you knew how to fix this freezing problem.. I've played skyrim for two years, and everytime i freaking enter a dwarven area, like the old city/town (forgot the name lol) but it just freezes! I can hear the music, but I haven't found a fix for it. Please help. I spent 60 dollars on a whole brand new game.

You could try clearing your cache on the PS3, it helped me on Xbox when I was getting a few crashing problems with Skyrim. I'm not sure how to do it on PS3 though. If you have a lot of previous saves that might also be the problem. Markarth (the dawrven city) had alot of problems for me when I was playing it on PS3, the main quest glitching being the most problematic. I'm not sure if they ever fully fixed it but it seemed like a glitchy city in general.

I hated all the problems with Skyrim on PS3 tbh so I ended up getting it again on Xbox and later PC instead like I did with the other ES games.

Ugh. I wish i got it on pc before ps3. I'm gonna look into the cache thing. Thanks!

If in doubt, you may have to start a new game. If there's a persistent problem with a certain part of the game (like entering that city), it could be the actual save file, and I'm pretty sure there isn't a way to rectify that.

I'm unsure of how to clear the cache on PS3 from the top of my head since I've not used my PS3 in about 6 months, but it's definitely something you can do and the option you should try first.

I would keep an eye on the Steam sales though for the game, especially considering the winter sale should be around the corner. I originally had it on 360 but I picked it up for PC with all the DLC in the summer sale for about ?5. I usually prefer console versions of games (because I love physical copies) but Skyrim is one of the few games that I recommend picking up on PC if you have a good enough system to run it.

I hear that Skyrim on PS3 is just like that, regardless of what you do.

But I never played far enough to find out myself, nor do I know anything beyond what I read on a few forums 2 or 3 years ago, so you can that bit of info with a grain of salt if you want.
