Prom

The school I graduated from only offers prom for seniors. I went my senior year, but I could not find a group or a date. I asked everyone that I knew for the opportunity for both. As I said, I still went and I had fun anyway. There was a smoothie bar

In my country, we only have prom before we graduate. And I think that's nice! :D No need to buy/rent dresses every year. Also, prom loses the special touch it has after you've been to it a few times.

Sounds like you have some amazing friends. ^^ I hope you have a blast! You don't need a date, most people at my grad just danced with their friends anyways.

Word of advice - don't wear heels. It sounds like a great idea until you have to walk several blocks to the hotel (if you prom is anything like my grad was), and end up walking barefoot on dirty downtown sidewalks. :p

We don't really have prom here, only grad which is basically the same thing, but only when you graduate. Mine was... not so great, because I didn't plan very well and although I absolutely adored it, my dress was too tight and too poofy (read: a boiling inferno). I ended up having a panic attack and crying in a bathroom stall most of the night. But I came home and watched Real Housewives and played Ocarina of Time, so it was all good in the end.

Aiyah! I heard that at some proms, chaperones/parents supply flip-flops for the ladies who don't want to wear those heels all night, lol
I'm sorry you had a panic attack on such a special night! I'm glad it all worked out in the end though.
And yes! My friends are fabulous~

I didn't go to my prom! I only had a couple of close friends in my school, and they're the type that I'd carry on seeing when school is over so that wasn't a worry for me. A huge amount of my year were bullies or just straight up mean, and I get anxious in crowds so yeah, it didn't suit me. >.< Not to mention the god-awful dresses! Some of the group pictures I saw afterwards literally looked like traffic lights or skittles, so many different fluorescent colors everywhere :p

My prom was okay.

I took my girlfriend at the time(2009?) and her friend and we went to IHOP after. And someone managed to back their dad's truck into the school's front sign and broke it.

Do wanna say though that we had(and still have) people get a little party-hard and get into car crashes, so remember to enjoy yourself and if you're gonna drink make sure you're already where you wanna be and plan to be all night.

I went to prom in 2012 for my grade 12 prom. I feel old.

It was actually a lot more fun that I thought it was going to be. I'm not one to go to parties or dances.

Tickets were $70 I believe which is decent I guess. We all had to put a down payment of $15 down, in case of damage. If nothing is wrecked, we get our money back. Someone took one of the microphones so we didn't get our money back. >_>

I'm going to prom this year with my boyfriend and a couple friends. The ticket was 50$ for dinner and a dance. My dress was 140 dollars :) (I live in Canada so I went to the U.S.A to buy my dress since they're better and cheaper over there.)

I'm not in highschool anymore, but for my junior prom i got dumped by my highschool boyfriend like 2 days before prom so that he could ask his ex to go (she said no). My bi sexual girl friend (friend that was a girl) at the time was like ohh hell no we are going together. So we went together and it was alright. But i didn't go to my senior prom. No one asked me and i didn't even care because i thought it was stupid anyways lol. In a way i was bummed that no one asked me to go too, but i probably would have said no anyways.

I'm going to my year 12 formal with my boyfriend. I haven't got my dress just yet, since I have to have it tailor-made since I'm way too small but I've handed my dress maker some designs and I've been measured. The school did not tell us anything until three months before, though we kind of had an idea. I'm looking forward to my school formal! ><

our school had an early prom, around march 21st and it was great tbh. i really enjoyed seeing all of my juniors and seniors all dressed up and not looking tired. it was truly worth the hype and i can't wait to go again next year, i might be able to go to one at my friend's high school along with mine.

Because I had to leave HS at 16 and just get my diploma this was something I totally missed out on. I wasn't in school enough for anyone to like or dislike me and had lost touch with my friends from junior high and around the neighborhood by then anyway. I will say having seen my sister go long ago with a male just friend in a limo it is something I would say do for the memory if you can, as far as dresses go there are some beautiful dresses out there that you can actually rewear later on no purpose in dresses that stay in closets for decades literally..so maybe keep that in mind, beautiful and re wearable is always great. It's funny because I am older and thinking toward wedding stuff, I missed out on a lot and if I could go back I would do things different, I was very shy. My advice is go if you can, wear something that can be re wearable will be great if you can, but don't stress too much have fun.

Senior prom and dance ticket was $110 and I've spent $200 on my dress.
I went with my friends and boyfriend. It was alright...

This was my dress from last year (I'm the one in the purple):

I went to my senior prom last night. I had a blast! i got tyo hang out withfriends, enjoy cool music, attempt to dance, and i even slow danced and kissed a girl. My outfit was pretty rad too. got a whole lotta compliments on it

I'll go to prom when I can, I'm not a senior yet.
This person I'm really flirty with/we like each other ish will have their prom next year, so who knows, maybe.

lol I missed 'prom' (UK end of high school one) .. but I heard it was crap anyway

Hmmm.....
$60 for a Wii U game or +$80 for prom....

I'm not a junior yet, but I'll probably pass on prom next year. I'm gonna be going to the college by then, so its very unlikely that someone is gonna ask me lol. Plus, I don't enjoy many of the people at my school.

I'll go if I get asked though....maybe..........or we could ditch and go out to eat or something, like what I did during 9th grade formal lol

Promposals are meh to me. I may go with my boyfriend even though we were previously planning not to :) part of me is like "this is going to be awkward" and the other part of me is like "i get to feel like a princess!"
